Jeffrey Bennett Cohen graduated from Hollywood Hills High School before attending the University of South Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology in 1993. He then received his Masters of Science degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Nova Southeastern University in 1995, before moving to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to earn a Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law in 1998.

While at the Widener University School of Law, Mr. Cohen was President of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society, placed in national trial competitions, and received the graduate award for Most Outstanding Litigator. While completing his law studies, Mr. Cohen worked for the Harrisburg Civil Law Clinic and the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Upon receiving his law degree, Mr. Cohen worked as an Assistant State Attorney and Supervisor for the State Attorney's Office, 17th Judicial Circuit, Broward County, where he earned incredible levels of knowledge, insight, and confidence while handling over 500 trials in his seven years of service there.

Since leaving the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Cohen has spent the last several years actively and aggressively defending clients charged with criminal offenses ranging from misdemeanors to major felony cases, several of which were covered by the local and national news media. In addition, Mr. Cohen worked for a local Broward County law firm where he gained extensive pre-litigation and litigation experience in the fields of personal injury and workers compensation.

Jeffrey Bennett Cohen has been published in the widely distributed Journal of Individual Employment Rights on the topic of the Negligent Hiring Doctrine and currently serves as an instructor for Widener University School of Law's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.

Jeffrey Bennett Cohen is a member of the Florida State Bar and focuses his area of practice in Criminal law and Florida Workers Compensation.
